I attended a 2 day Baron Baptiste Yoga Teacher Training Course this past weekend and I learned so much, as I always do when I am learning and studying about Yoga. The magic happens when we let Humanity rise. At the Beginning of the course, Baron talked about finding an edge in your Life and what what would happen if you stepped over the edge, and what is holding you back. There was a common theme of Fear holding us all back. There is no one, no thing, that can take your Fear from You and conquer it for You, only You.
For me, I needed to leave a whole world behind, a whole world of fear, a fear of being different, not good enough, a fear of not being liked, not being loved, for exactly who I am. I needed to leave the opinions of others, the advice from others, the comments, the looks, not the looks of love, you know the ones I am talking about, in a whole other world, a world that is not for me that I don’t even know how I let myself get into, but I know I am the one who got myself there and I got myself out. I know I will face more fears in my life, but not this is not one of them.
I gained more Freedom to feel, to express, to speak, to try new things, to leave things that aren’t for me, to find new adventures every day. I hope that you can find an edge in your life and what is holding you back and what is possible if you Let Go of your Fear and go Beyond the Possibilities.
I Love Sundays. I have a special sweatshirt that I wear on Sundays that is super soft, that says "Sunday" with a Heart around it. Every week, I can’t wait to wear it. It is more than a sweatshirt, it is a cozy feeling of a whole day wrapped in Love. I get to Begin the day teaching one of my favorite classes, a hot sweaty packed Power Yoga class. I get to do something I Love, that is different every week. Yesterday it was a healthy lunch out with the kids, a nap, and a Yoga class with one of my favorite teachers. On the way home, the kids and I drove through the Nela Park Christmas Lights display, the kids were silent, just looking, seeing, and I could feel the Magic of the Season. We tried the new Peach Sprite Zero at Wendy’s and some Baconator Fries that need to come in a Bigger Size. Our Sunday night Tradition is Sunday Night at the Movies. The kids and I look forward to it every week. We get in our PJ’s, have popcorn and M&M’s, and snuggle on the couch. Last night we watched "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days", surrounded by the lights of the Christmas Tree and the Magic in the Air. It was the Perfect Day. I Hope You Love Sundays and All of Your Days as much as I do.
